The PCFD training center is located within Station 81 on the
west side of Peachtree City. It features a large classroom
facility, training offices, and a public safety library. The
training department sponsors courses from the
Georgia Fire Academy,
National Fire Academy, American Heart Association, National
Association of EMT's, and National Registry of EMT's. All recruits attend an extensive training program
at the center before becoming members of the department and
Firefighter's Association. |

Burn Building
 |
|
The PCFD burn building is a 'live fire' training building. It is
used to recreate actual fire conditions that a Firefighter might
encounter while fighting a structure fire. The two story,
non-combustible building has two separate burn rooms, roof
access, interior and exterior stairways, a standpipe, and
openings on the roof for ventillation. It is also equipped for
rappelling. The training department sponsors 'live fire'
training three times each month. |
