Warning Lights:

  • Engine 81 is equipped with an electrical load management system. This system will add or shed electrical loads to avoid damage to the alternator, batteries, or wiring system.
  • When the warning master switch is turned on, the lights will come on in sequence.
  • When the warning master switch is turned OFF, the lights will go out in sequence.
  • The Q2 electric siren will not operate with the parking brakes set.
  • The Wig Wag headlights will not operate with the parking brakes set.

Electric Ladder Passenger Side:

  • Engine 81 is equipped with a zimatic electric ladder rack.
  • The ladder rack will not lower the ladders unless the parking brakes are set.
  • The ladder rack will not unlock unless the 2 red safety lanyards are tripped.
  • The lower/raise switch is located on the passenger side discharge panel under the booster reel.
  • If the ladder rack is not in the raised and stowed position the red rotating light in the cab will illuminate when the parking brakes are released.

Pump Panel (Top Mount):

  • All pump controls including the foam system are top mounted.
  • Pressure gauges are analog (needle) like our current engines.
  • Flow is digital and shown at the top of the gauges.
  • The top mounted deluge set is not removable. A portable unit is carried in the rear compartment of the engine.

120 Volt Electrical System:

  • The 120 Volt electrical system is very similar to those on E82 & E84. The generator must be pulled out on its sliding tray to operate.
  • The generator may be unplugged and removed for remote operation, if necessary.
  • The 2 receptacles on the generator are GFCI type to prevent shock hazard.
  • All the circuit breakers for the 120V system are GFCI protected.
  • The rig circuit breaker panel is located in top, left compartment just aft of the pump.

INTAKES: In addition to our standard left side “Steamer” LDH and right side Siamese or gated two 2 ½” into Steamer intakes, Engine also has a 5” front bumper mounted suction with electric operated valve. One 2 ½” auxiliary intake is located on drivers side of pump body

HOSE CAPACITY: Refer to Hose Load Sheet – Note: Combo Load has been removed from this apparatus, and High Rise Pack is now located on right side of hosebed, with various tools at front of hosebed in this slot

GROUND LADDERS: Standard ISO requirements 24’ extension, 14’ Roof and 10’ attic, all mounted to electric operated overhead ladder storage rack. Rack is operated by toggle on right side pump body. One long (10’) and two short (6’) pike poles also on this rack

WARNING LIGHTS: Primarily Whelen LED for long life and reduced maintenance, included PSTANK LED lights on each side of pump body for personnel on incident to quickly see booster tank level. Vehicle also has Class 1 Load Management system, which will add or shed electrical loads (12v) as needed to prevent damage

COMPARTMENTS: Rescue Style with high sides on both sides using Robinson (ROM) roll up doors. Rear tall compartment set up for extrication includes Hurst electric pump (220v) with two (2) 100’ color-coded electric rewind reels with attached Model ML-32 Spreader and X-Tractor II Cutter. Also on board is a Hurst Two-stage Ram.
