Background:
Chief Eiswerth has been married for 28 years to Forcela who is a
Volunteer Firefighter/EMT and he has one son, Edwin, who was also a
Fire Explorer attached to the Peachtree City Fire/Rescue. Edwin is a
graduate of Auburn University. Following graduation he was
commissioned in the Alabama Army National Guard as a Second
Lieutenant. He is presently a police officer with the City of
Fairburn.
Chief Eiswerth retired from the United States Air Force in 1994 after
being promoted to Lt. Colonel. He spent most of his USAF career as a
crewmember on AWACS aircraft. The majority of his career was spent
serving overseas. Chief Eiswerth spent many years and tours living in
Japan, Australia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Iceland, and
England. He moved to Peachtree City in 1988 when he was assigned to
U.S. Forces Command at
Ft.
McPherson.
Chief Eiswerth started in the fire service in 1970 as a volunteer
firefighter and First Responder at 16 years of age in his hometown of
Bradfordwoods,
Pennsylvania.
He continued volunteer service as firefighter/EMT in Choctaw Oklahoma
from 1980-1983.Chief Eiswerth started as volunteer firefighter in
Peachtree City in 1989 and completed Georgia EMT in 1990.He returned
to Choctaw Oklahoma in 1992 where he served as a volunteer
Firefighter/EMT and was promoted to Lieutenant in January 1993.
Chief Eiswerth
rejoined the Peachtree City Fire/Rescue as career Firefighter/EMT in
Febuary1994 and completed Georgia Paramedic in 1995.He was promoted to
Operations Captain in 1998. Chief Eiswerth was promoted to Assistant
Chief of Operations in Oct 2000 .
